We’re hosting a community forum and group discussion on the proposed carbon pricing policies. Representatives from the Carbon Washington and Alliance for Jobs and Clean Energy will speak how to take action to hold carbon polluters accountable.

On Monday, June 8, we’re hosting a community forum event to build support for at least two aggressive policies to put limits on Washington state’s carbon pollution — the Governor’s proposal for an emissions trading system that targets big polluters while funding education and a people’s initiative to enact a carbon tax.Come learn about the two proposals to put a price on carbon emissions! Lets make fossil fuel producers pay for the CO2 they currently pump for free into the atmosphere.

Carbon WA is currently gathering signatures for its proposal, and the Carbon Pollution Accountability Act is currently under consideration in the Washington state legislature. Now is a critical time to get engaged and speak out!

Light refreshments including coffee and cookies will be served at this event also.
